Just a Little Alcohol On Fingers This Friday Night!

Hello and good evening!  I hope you are having a wonderful evening night?  Maybe enjoying a little Friday Night Lights?  Me I'm enjoying a little alcohol... alcohol inks that is.  They happen to be my most favorite medium, but I have far from mastered them.  I was glad to make a few backgrounds and use a few images that I found on a free crayola coloring book site.  I started with yupo paper and added the Tim Holtz alcohol inks, and blending solution,  I also added metallic mixatives to them.  I hope you enjoy this evening's inkiness.  Without further ado here are a few cards I worked on.....

Products used:  Yupo paper, black cs, olive cs, silver mirror cs, oranges cs, Tim Holtz alcohol inks, alcohol blending solution, images from free online crayola coloring books, Purple metallic floss, lime metallic floss.  gold stickles, waterfall stickles, and silver stickles, and spectrum noir alcohol markers, gold wink of stella, and black wink of stella, last but not least recollections white embossing powder.

Gather Mixed Media Card

Hello!  I hope you are having a great day!  The first day of fall may be tomorrow, but here it's a balmy 89 degrees and sunny!  It really couldn't be more perfect, and I will treasure it as I know what will be around the corner soon.  Today I let my creative juices flow and decided to make a very simple stamp into something pretty amazing and 3D!  I embraced the upcoming fall colors, with a splash of teal and gold.  I used kraft paper and scored it every 1/4 inch so it would look like corrugated paper, added some texture paste and red tattered angels glimmer mist.  I didn't stop there, I continued to distress the paper with tearing and distress stains,  I added some red leaves that had been preserved by a company much smarter than me (as I never would have thought to distribute them), and teal colored burlap.  To make the wreath, I cut it out with the scan n cut (another smart company), and then further frayed it with scissors.  I used five layers to create this beauty and then added maple leaf and twig stamps to make more texture.!  Without further ado here it is!!!

Products used:  brick cs, recollections teal burlap, recollections dried leaves, 360 teal ribbon, off white cs, stampin up pumpkin pie ink, stampin up, daffodil ink, memento rich cocoa ink, memento espresso truffle ink, memento rhubarb stalk, memento cantaloupe ink, distress stain tarnished brass, tattered angels red glimmer mist, versamark ink, ranger gold embossing powder, ranger texture paste, and Fun Stampers Journey Harvest Wreath stamp set.

Hey Scarecrow it's fall!

This week has been busy gearing up for fall and Halloween card swaps.  My group challenge this month with my crafty frineds was to use a plaid cloth strip from retired Longaberger Basket Company, and chip board buttons, and as always anything goes.  The buttons were not speaking to me and until last night when I started playing with them and I saw a hat.  My vision was for a snowman, but later decided the plaid said scarecrow.  I made a fence out wood designer paper that I cut free hand because I didn't have a die.  I think this card turned out cute and met the challenge.  The scare crow is from free-coloring-pages.com, and the sentiment was printed from a Word documents.  Without further ado:

Products used:  Image from free coloring pages, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Longaberger fabric, straw cs, mustard cs, sienna cs, white cs, spectrum noir alcohol markers, yellow raffia, sienna raffia, gold and rust stickles, chip board button of unknown origin, wood ephemera,  fossilized amber and vintage photo Distress Oxide inks, and finally, wood textures dsp from Stampin up.

Mixed up Poinsettia

Hello and thank you for stopping by my little blog!  I hope you're having a great day!!!  I had so much fun designing this card and hopefully you like it too.  You will also find this card over at Crafty Creations Challenges where I am on the design time.  Let me tell you about this card!  I decided to go with a classy, but shabby chic vibe.  I used quite a bit of materials that were new to me such as gesso, acryllic paint, spectrum noir alcohol markers, corrugated paper, and foil.  I actually made two versions of the cards.  The first one is a class 5x7 card and then the second one which I am contemplating mounting to wood which measures 4x9.25 inches.  I hope you love them as much as I do!

Easy Peasy Frankenstein

Hello Friends!  I hope you are having a great start to the week and this post finds you well.  I first want to wish everyone on the East Coast good luck, and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as Hurricane Florence has been upgraded.
I found myself wanting to make a card that didn't require any Halloween dies or stamps for those who may be starting out new with limited supplies.  For this card I ripped strips of card stock and applied black ink onto them along the edges.  I then made the mouth from a circle punch cut in half and then partially punkched with a scalloped circle punch.  I hope this inspires you to make this cute card and maybe use white card stock to make a mummy!
If  you like my card, please follow me!

Products used:  Olive green cs, black cs, memento ink tuxedo black, wobbly eyes.
